As novas cédulas de um real, além de trazerem um novo visual, também são de tamanhos diferentes (a de 2 reais é a menor, e vai aumentando de acordo com o valor). O banco central tomou esta iniciativa para facilitar o reconhecimentos das cédulas pelos deficientes visuais.
Novas notas de R$ 50 e R$ 100 começam a circular ainda no 1º semestre. As demais cédulas serão substituídas gradativamente, até 2012. (Fonte: G1)
